  • They analyse and manage the program risks and issues that might and do arise over the course of the program life cycle.
  • They develop an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement.
  • They are responsible for producing timely reporting of program status throughout the life cycle of the program.
  • They are responsible for planning overall program and monitor progress status to make sure that objectives are being met across the various projects and programs.
  • They coordinate the projects and their interdependencies between the various projects and programs in the program.
  • They are implementing and managing changes to ensure project goals are achieved.
  • They are also responsible for managing and proper use resources across the various projects in the program.
  • They are responsible for timely meeting with stakeholders who are involved to make communication transparent regarding project issues and mitigation strategy.
  • They make sure deliverables are aligned across the projects and programs in the program.
  • Roles of program manager are also working on strategy with the marketing teams.

What are the skills of a Program Manager?

Program manager needs to have the following skills to make them ideal for the position:
  • Good knowledge of project management approaches of a large and complex project.
  • Broad knowledge of program management methodologies.
  • Good knowledge of objectives of the program, such as business and strategic goals.
  • Ability to search proper way of problem solving and implementing corrective action as required.
  • Ability to create a sense of community and to work with a wide range of stakeholders.
